At Camp Weona, we believe that every child should have the chance to experience camp. The YMCA Strong Kids Campaign provides financial assistance to families within our community who are in need of financial support. Each year, volunteers with tirelessly to raise scholarship dollars which help to ensure that no one is denied a chance to participate in the YMCA experience because of an inability to pay.

Last year, over 350 contributors supported Camp Weona's campaign, allowing us to allocate over $59,000 to more than 225 kids. Please consider volunteering your time and pledging your financial support so that we may continue building strong kids, strong families, strong communities.

Within the available resources of the organization, YMCA Buffalo Niagara will provide services to those not able to pay the full fee. Financial assistance eligibility is ultimately left to the descretion of the executive director. Financial assistance is determined based on a thorough review of the application and a personal interview with the applicant. Assistance will be granted on the basis of financial need resulting from low income, emergency expenses or other circumstances that inhibit an individual's ability to pay a prescribed fee.
